Regenerative Therapies

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) Injections

Your blood contains powerful healing agents. Platelet-Rich Plasma therapy concentrates those agents and delivers them precisely to the site of injury — activating your body’s natural repair mechanisms where they’re needed most.

How It Works

A small amount of your blood is drawn and placed in a centrifuge. The centrifuge separates and concentrates the platelets — cells packed with growth factors that signal tissue repair. This concentrated plasma is then injected directly into the injured area under ultrasound guidance, stimulating regeneration of cartilage, tendon, ligament, and soft tissue.

What PRP Treats:

Knee osteoarthritis

Rotator cuff injuries and shoulder pain

Tennis elbow / lateral epicondylitis

Achilles tendinopathy

Hip pain and labral tears

Plantar fasciitis

Ligament sprains

General joint degeneration

What to Expect

PRP is an outpatient procedure performed in-office. Most sessions take approximately one hour including preparation, injection, and recovery. A series of 1–3 injections is typically recommended, spaced several weeks apart. Results develop over weeks as tissue regenerates — not overnight.

Is PRP Right for You?

PRP works best for patients who have not found lasting relief from physical therapy, anti-inflammatory medications, or cortisone injections, and who want to avoid or delay surgery. During your consultation, Dr. Chabla will evaluate your imaging, history, and goals to determine if PRP is appropriate.
